Dr. Chantal Fowler is a Clinical Psychologist and Sexologist in private practice in Cape Town.
After qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist at Stellenbosch University in 2017, she obtained
further certification in Psycho-Sexology through the European Society for Sexual Medicine
(ESSM), Budapest in 2020. Chantal was also certified in Gender affirming healthcare through
the World Professional Association of Transgender Healthcare (WPATH) in Canada in 2021.
She was awarded a PhD in Public Health from UCT, with a fellowship from Brown university
in the USA in 2025. Dr. Fowler also serves as part-time co-lead for the pysch-care division of
Afrikaburn, which is the African contingent of Burning Man. By night, she goes by Dr. Spice
C, a burlesque performer for the Rouge Review burlesque dance company.
