Summary: Navigating Common Sexual Health Challenges In A Gynecological Practice

Sexual health concerns are among the most common and often the most difficult issues encountered in gynaecological practice. Conversations about desire, intimacy, and sexual pain can feel complex, emotionally charged, and clinically challenging for both patients and practitioners.
This workshop is designed to equip clinicians with practical, evidence-informed tools to manage common sexual health presentations with confidence in everyday practice. Through expert input, real-world case discussions, patient perspectives, and multidisciplinary collaboration, participants will explore the complexities of desire discrepancy in couples and the biopsychosocial management of Genito-Pelvic Pain/Penetration Disorder (GPPPD).
The workshop combines practical clinical frameworks with insights from psycho-sexology and physiotherapy, helping participants move beyond diagnosis towards compassionate, patient-centred care. Expect engaging discussion, immediately applicable strategies, and a deeper understanding of how to support patients as they navigate deeply personal and often distressing concerns.
Join us for an honest, practical, and clinically relevant conversation about sexual health, because these are the consultations patients remember, and clinicians often wish they had been trained for.

Summary: GAHC And The Gynaecologist: Ethics, Practical And Evidence-Based In The South African Context

Gender-affirming healthcare is increasingly part of everyday gynaecological practice, yet many clinicians still feel uncertain, underprepared, or anxious about managing these consultations confidently and compassionately.

This interactive workshop offers a safe, practical, and evidence-based space to build confidence in caring for transgender and gender-diverse patients within the South African healthcare context. Through expert-led discussions, real-world clinical cases, role-play, and small-group learning, participants will explore the ethical foundations of care, inclusive communication, basics of hormone therapy, contraception, fertility, cervical screening, pelvic pain, and trauma-informed practice.

Whether you are new to gender-affirming healthcare or looking to strengthen your existing practice, this workshop will equip you with practical tools, clearer clinical pathways, and the confidence to provide respectful, patient-centred care.

Join us for an engaging and thought-provoking session that moves beyond theory into the realities of clinical practice, because every patient deserves safe, dignified, evidence-based care.
